Where to Place a Bedroom Rug

  • Rug under the bed: let it extend about 18–24 inches beyond the sides and foot of the bed. A 6×9 ft rug suits most double and queen beds, and 8×10 ft suits king beds.
  • Bedside rugs: a pair of 2×3 ft or 2.5×4 ft rugs adds comfort on both sides of the bed.
  • At the foot of the bed: a 3×5 ft or 4×6 ft rug adds colour without covering the whole floor.

Caring for Your Bedroom Rug

  • Vacuum regularly on a low setting, without a rotating beater bar.
  • Blot spills straight away with a clean, damp cloth.
  • Use a rug pad to stop slipping and protect the backing.

How Our Made-to-Order Process Works

  1. Choose your design and size: pick a standard size or enter your own with Custom size.
  2. Approve your design preview: we email it within 1–3 business days, and nothing is made until you approve it.
  3. Hand tufting: about 4–5 weeks in our own production department in Pakistan.
  4. Tracked delivery: usually 6–8 weeks from your order, with flat-rate shipping per order. See our shipping policy.

What size rug do I need for my bedroom?

Under a queen bed, a 6×9 ft rug extends nicely around the sides and foot; under a king bed, choose 8×10 ft. For bedside rugs, a pair of 2×3 ft or 2.5×4 ft rugs works on either side of the bed.

Where should a bedroom rug go?

Place a large rug under the lower two thirds of the bed so it extends 18–24 inches on each side, or use smaller rugs beside the bed or at its foot for a soft first step in the morning.

Can I get a bedroom rug to match my bedding?

Yes. Send us your colours before ordering, or use Customize This Rug, and we will match the design to your bedding or walls in your design preview.

How long does a made-to-order rug take?

About 6–8 weeks in total. We email your design preview within 1–3 business days, tuft and finish your rug in 4–5 weeks after you approve it, then ship it by tracked courier (about 2 weeks to the USA, 2–3 weeks elsewhere).

How do I clean a tufted rug?

Vacuum regularly on a low setting without a rotating beater bar, and blot spills straight away with a clean, damp cloth instead of rubbing. For a deeper clean, use a professional rug cleaner.

Can I cancel or return a rug?

You can cancel for a full refund within 48 hours of ordering. Because every rug is made for you, change-of-mind returns are not accepted. If your rug arrives damaged or different from your approved design, we will work with you on a resolution. See our refund and returns policy for details.
