Born from a search that came up short.
eTufted Rugs was founded in 1999 by Yaqoob Shahid.
The idea came from a simple frustration. While shopping for tufted rugs, Yaqoob noticed the same problem again and again: each rug shop offered only a narrow selection, and none of them truly went in depth. One store had a few styles, another a handful of sizes, and customers were left going from shop to shop trying to find the right rug.
He saw the opportunity to do it differently. Instead of offering just a few designs, eTufted Rugs would bring every type of handmade tufted rug together under one roof, clearly organized into collections, whether you want a cozy living room rug, a bold wall rug, or a fully custom tufted rug.
That vision has guided us ever since, and today we bring it online: a complete, carefully categorized destination for handmade tufted rugs, backed by real craftsmanship and personal service.

Yes. Every eTufted rug can be made to your exact size and shape, including round, runner, irregular and logo-shaped designs.
Can you make a rug from my own design or logo?
Absolutely. Send us your logo, artwork, photo or even a rough sketch. We turn it into a tufting-ready design and share a preview for your approval before production starts.
How long does a custom rug take?
Every rug is made by hand after you order. Production typically takes [X–Y weeks], plus shipping time. We confirm the timeline with your quote.
Are your rugs really handmade?
Yes. Each rug is hand tufted, trimmed, carved and finished by skilled artisans. Nothing is mass produced.
How do I care for a tufted rug?
Vacuum regularly without a beater bar, blot spills right away with a clean cloth, and avoid soaking the rug. For deep cleaning, a professional rug cleaner is best.
