eTufted Rugs is based in the USA, and every rug is handmade in our own production department in Pakistan. We sell to customers in the USA, Canada, the UK, Australia, Germany and other countries. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit etuftedrugs.com or order a custom rug, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We only collect what we need to design, make and deliver your rug, and we never sell your personal information.

The information we hold about you
Order & contact details
Your name, email address, phone number, and billing and shipping addresses, collected when you place an order, request a quote or contact us.
Your custom rug details
The sizes, shapes, colours and notes you give us, plus any logos, artwork, photos or sketches you send so we can create your design.
Account information
If you create an account, your login details, order history, saved addresses and wishlist.
Payment information
Payments are handled by secure third-party payment providers. We receive confirmation that you paid, but we do not see or store your full card details.
Device & browsing data
Your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed and how you arrived at our site, collected automatically through cookies and similar tools.
Messages & reviews
Emails and messages you send us, photos you share about an order, and any reviews you post on our site.
How we use it
Why we need your information
- To make and deliver your rug: creating your design preview, producing your custom rug, processing payment and shipping it to you.
- To talk to you about your order: sending order confirmations, design previews, finished-rug photos, shipping updates and replies to your questions.
- To handle cancellations, returns and resolutions under our cancellation, return and refund policy.
- To run and improve our website: keeping it secure, fixing problems and understanding which pages and products people find useful.
- To send news and offers, only if you have signed up to our newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.
- To meet legal obligations, such as keeping records for tax and accounting and preventing fraud.
Your designs stay yours
Logos, artwork and photos you send us are used only to design and make your rug. We will never sell them or make your design for anyone else. We will only show photos of your finished rug on our website or social media if you give us permission.

Advertising partners
If we run ads, partners such as Google and Meta (Facebook and Instagram) may use cookies to measure our ads and show you relevant offers. They never receive your design files or payment details.
International transfers: eTufted Rugs is based in the USA, and our rugs are made in our production department in Pakistan. To make and ship your rug, the details our team needs (your name, design, rug specifications and shipping address) are shared with our production department in Pakistan. Your information may also be processed in the USA and in other countries where our service providers operate. Wherever it is handled, we protect it as described in this policy and, for customers in the UK and EU, use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses where required.

How long we keep it
We keep order records for as long as needed to fulfil your order, handle any resolution and meet tax and accounting rules. Design files are kept so we can remake or reorder your rug if you ask. You can ask us to delete your files and account at any time, unless we must keep certain records by law.
Keeping it safe
Our site uses secure (HTTPS) connections, payments run through secure payment providers, and access to your information is limited to people who need it. No online service is completely secure, so please keep your account password private. If a data breach affects your information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.
Where you live
Extra rights by country
We sell to customers around the world, so we follow the privacy laws that apply where you live. To use any of these rights, email etuftedrugs@gmail.com. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we will never treat you differently for using your rights.
United States
Residents of states with privacy laws, such as California, can ask what personal information we collect, use and disclose, and ask us to delete or correct it. We do not sell your personal information. If we use advertising cookies that count as “sharing” under state law, you can opt out by blocking those cookies or emailing us.
Canada
Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA), you can access and correct your personal information and withdraw consent, subject to legal limits. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
United Kingdom & EU (including Germany)
We use your information to perform our contract with you (making and delivering your rug), to meet legal obligations, for our legitimate interests (running and improving our shop), and with your consent (newsletters and non-essential cookies). You have the GDPR rights listed above, and you can complain to the UK ICO or your local data protection authority.
Australia
We handle your information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles. You can access and correct it, and if you have a complaint we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
Good to know
Children
You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, to place an order. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Kids’ rugs are ordered by parents or guardians, and a parent can ask us to delete any information a child has sent us.
Please don’t send sensitive information
We never need sensitive details such as health, religious or financial account information. Please don’t include them in messages, design files or order notes, and never email us your full card number.

Our site may link to social media and other websites. Their privacy practices are their own, so please read their policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated. If we make a significant change, we will tell you by email or with a notice on our website.
